    This position is located in the office of ZOLL Circulation San Jose, California.



    General Summary:

    Provide internal clinical education and training.  Is able to work cross-functionally to manage projects and provide clinical education support to QA, CA and R&D departments as well as administrative support for the clinical education department field staff.  Has deep clinical educating and adult learning experience.  Capable of preparing a training plan for clinical medicine and delivering that training to individuals with a wide range of skill-sets and clinical experiences.  Have total familiarity with the Medical Device GMP Regulations, ISO 13845, and the companies’ Quality Systems requirements and assures that these are followed.


    Essential Functions:


    Clinical Training

    • Develop, organize and deliver the in-house clinical training seminars.  Seminar attendees will be sales people, clinical specialists, and other ZOLL employees as needed.  Will give seminars at the introductory and advanced levels of clinical science.  
    • Will create educational training materials.  Must be experienced with adult learning and training methods.
    • Coordinate with marketing, sales, manufacturing, and engineering on new product   introduction including creative training material and product training. 


    • Provide administrative support for the Clinical Education department.  
    • Support for per diems administrative activities.  
    • Administer consulting agreements
    • Manages clinical education projects within the clinical education team.  
    • Participates in cross-functional team meetings where clinical education input is needed.  
    • Coordinate Webinars and other clinical education events.  
    • Tracks field clinical specialist operational efficiency and provides reports.
    • Handle all other departmental administrative functions 

    Complaint investigation coordination

    • Serves as a link between QA and field clinical educators tracking the complaint investigations assigned to the field specialists.  
    • Tracks status; provides reports on operational efficiency, reviews and approves the field complaint report.  
    • Works cross-functionally with QA to improve operational efficiency in complaint investigations.

    Clinical trials coordination

    • Serves as a link between CA and field clinical educators tracking the new trial site training and initiation activities assigned to the field specialists.  
    • Tracks status; provides reports on operational efficiency. 

    Product feedback

    • Works with marketing and R&D to collect product feedback information.  
    • Works cross-functionally to coordinate product review committees for next generation products.  
    • Supports other marketing and R&D cross-functional projects.

    • Ability to utilize/develop tools including educational material, presentation and procedures.
    • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional project teams.
    • Able to successfully multi-task and manage daily operating tasks to meet rigid timelines.
    • Able to utilize database, spreadsheet(s), email or any other means available to effectively perform the required task(s).
    • Require a strong clinical or scientific knowledge and research skills.
    • Excellent follow through skills, interpersonal skills, hard-working, a self-starter and problem solver and leadership skills.  Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Positive attitude, responsible, dependable, reliable and dedicated.
    • Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills.  Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Strong data entry, written and verbal skills.
    • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Be able to travel occasionally.


    Education/Training/Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years related work experience 
    • A bachelor’s degree in nursing, science, engineering or marketing is required. MBA is a plus. 
    • Health care commercial applications experience a plus.
    • Must have thorough knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite of programs including Excel and Word.
