Clinical Affairs


Support biostatistics on all programming activities for multiple clinical trials in US and Europe.


Essential Functions:


  • Prepare SDTM and ADaM datasets per CDISC guidelines and programming specifications
  • Write or modify SAS programs to generate datasets, tables, listings, and figures
  • Develop SAS macros and templates including coding and testing
  • Create and maintain programming documents; document changes to SAS code, programs, specifications
  • Identify and edit checks for ongoing trials to identify study conduct or data quality issues
  • Analyze SAS code for corrections, enhancement
  • Familiarity with ODS outputs, PROC REPORT, PROC TEMPLATE


Skill Requirements:

  • Familiarity with R preferred, not required



Education/Training/Experience Requirements:

  •  Have advanced knowledge/experience programming in SAS (2 years minimum, preferably industry): SAS/BASE, SAS/MACRO, SAS/ODS, SAS/SQL
  • Working knowledge of good programming practices, basic statistics, GCP, ICH guidelines
  • Ability to work independently and support multiple projects and electronic submission to regulatory agencies
  • Excellent communication required 


Language Ability:


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.



Math Ability:


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.



Reasoning Ability:


Ability to apply clinical affairs understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.



Computer Skills:

  • Familiarity with R preferred, not required

  • No certifications needed
